Volunteers are at the heart of all that Fulham Palace has to offer.  It is through you that a large amount of projects and events are possible, and we want to make the volunteer experience as enjoyable and rewarding as possible.

In July 2014, Fulham Palace began working alongside museums and heritage sites throughout West London as part of the Partnership for Excellence West London: Volunteering project.  As a partner, we were awarded a small grant through Arts Council England to put towards a project to enhance our volunteer programme.

The feedback received through the volunteer surveys and forums indicated that there was a need for better communication.  To achieve this, we have created this website, to be run by you and for the sole purpose of keeping you updated, involved, informed and in touch with each other.

The features of the website include a blog full of posts with the latest Fulham Palace and volunteer news, an events and trainings calendar with the ability to RSVP online, general and volunteer area specific training resources, online rota sign-up for specific volunteer roles, and much, much more.

For a comprehensive guide on how to use this website please click here.

And the best part?  This website will continue to grow and evolve as more of you interact with it. You can write your own blog posts and comment on others, share your Fulham Palace pictures with other volunteers on our image galleries, start and contribute to a conversation on the online forum, and send us your feedback on what you would like to see.

In fact, this this website would not be possible without the support, input and hard work of a group of volunteers, including the Fulham Palace Volunteer Website Working Group that has guided the entire creation process, and the Volunteer Communications Assistants who will continue to maintain the site.  They can also provide training and answer any of your questions on how to use all of the features of this site.  They can be contacted directly using the Contact page.
