This workshop will take place on Tuesday 14 November from 14.00 till 15.00 in the Terrick drawing room.
The Dementia Friends programme is a social action movement, led by the Alzheimer's Society, and it aims to increase understanding of dementia and inspire people to take part in action to support people affected by dementia in their community.
The session will last around 45 minutes during which participants will learn the five key messages we feel everyone should know about dementia, and how they can turn them into action to support people living with dementia. At the end of the session, participants will be given the opportunity to commit to an action, and become a dementia friend.
The session will include some activities and opportunities for participants to share ideas. The session is delivered by a trained volunteer dementia friend ambassador, but they are not a trained medical professional and they will not be able to discuss individual cases.
Together we will beat dementia!
